m:con Congress Center Rosengarten

back to overview

In 1903 a prestigious municipal festival hall was built in the centre of Mannheim, the Rosengarten. It was designed by the Berlin-based architect Bruno Schmitz, whose most famous work includes the Memorial to the Battle of the Nations in Leipzig. Schmitz harmoniously blended the Rosengarten in with the predominantly Jugendstil buildings around Friedrichsplatz.
